Jade O releases new single 'Desert of the Heart'

Actor and musician Jade O dropped her latest single 'Desert Of The Heart' on Friday, accompanied by a stunning music video.

The track, produced by dual talents Aaron Cranley and Alan Kelly, is the singer's third commercial single. The track is sure to be a club hit, with Jade's smooth melodies filtering through soft, soaring electronic beats.

The track follows her 2022 hit 'Always', and February single 'Song bird', each track giving listeners intimate connections to her world.

In the accompanying music video directed by Laura Sheeran, Jade treats viewers to hpynotic dancing throughout 'Desert of the Heart', enigmatically striking poses which have more in common with performance art than choreography. Dressed in alternating outfits including a dark blazer and a leopard-print top, the singer/dancer's moves match elegantly with the beat.

Free-flowing arms and a stripped-back colourful set give the video an element of freedom and sadness, as Jade tells us that "it's so lonely, alone in my desert of the heart".

The blue-and-red tinted video is an original and bold piece of work from a music with a clear background in theatre performance. Jade has a range of experience in singing, having collaborated and toured extensively with Catherine Young Dance Company as a singer, writer & composer touring Ireland and The Middle East.

Jade recently headlined at K-Fest, a Kerry-based music & Arts festival in Killorglin, and also played with MissKate & Friends at Beyond The Pale Festival in Glendalough, co Wicklow. Jade is set to perform at Electric Picnic this September, where she will undoubtedly sing her recent release to eager new listeners.
