Jack Moore, son of Thin Lizzy guitarist Gary Moore, releases his first solo song 'The Other Side'
The new single is out now and can be heard below.
Jack Moore, son of rock and blues guitarist Gary Moore, has released his first solo song 'The Other Side'.
“It’s special to me because I kept building it block by block lyrically over a few years, so in some ways it is a time capsule, holding fond memories and energy of special times," said Moore. "It is exciting because I’m going to feel everything that goes with releasing a first solo song. I’ll get that feeling my father once had.”
Jack Moore has previously recorded with his band Smith, Lyle and Moore and has supported Glenn Hughes’ Black Country Communion in Poland. He will support the Deep Purple's Ian Paice on his solo tour this September.
“With this new song, I feel that my musical journey has started," said Moore. "While this song is not what people might expect from the son of a heavy rock legend, it’s an expression of the freedom I want from music."
Belfast's Gary Moore sold over five million albums during his career. He performed with Thin Lizzy in 1974 and then returned from 1977-1979. The musician died on February 6, 2011.
Moore's new single is out now and can be heard below.
