Vampire Diaries actor Michael Malarkey drops music video, album details
The toothy thespian has always been musical.
Enzo from The Vampire Diaries has a full-blooded album on the way.
Michael Malarkey, who played the anemic anti-hero in the series, was writing and playing his own songs long before he became an actor.
‘I was enraptured by the poets and writers of the beat generation and how they used the sound and rhythm of words to create a certain energy of time and place,' he says.
After growing up in Ohio, Malarkey travelled to London to study at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and alongside his acting career he soaked up the music on offer. ‘I consider it a form of poetic journalism. It’s an endless journey of self-discovery.’
Malarkey has dropped a video for the title track to the upcoming album, Mongrels, and you can watch it below:
The album is released on October 6. An EU tour kicks off on October 23, but no Ireland dates have been announced at this stage.
