Interview: Alison Spittle @ Hot Press Speakeasy
Fresh off the back of her appearance at the Kilkenny Cat Laughs festival the comic stopped by the Speakeasy for a chat.
Comedian Alison Spittle has spoken about the events that inspired the material for her newest stand up show, Alison Spittle Discovers Hawaii. She described the material as "big topics that affect me".
Spittle talked about her recent mental health experiences as a result of a number of home break ins she experienced while living in Dublin. She also described dealing with an inappropriate heckler at last year's Forbidden Fruit comedy stage.
Spittle went on to discuss her plans for the future with Hot Press's Colm O' Regan. Her short film, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Naggin will debut on Sky Arts in June. The short tells an adventure story focused on a hen night. Spittle will also be doing a slot at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August.
