You can catch arguably the world’s most famous ex-dope smuggler in Billy Byrne’s, Kilkenny (November 13); Pavillion, Cork (14); UCD, Dublin (16); INEC, Killarney (17); De Barra’s, Clonakilty (18); Droichead Arts Centre, Drogheda (21); Glór, Ennis (23); Forum, Waterford (24); Gonzo Theatre, Cavan (25); Roisin Dubh, Galway (26); Late Lounge, Kill (27); Dolan’s, Limerick (30); Riff Raff Club, Newry (December 1); O’Keefe’s, Clonmel (2); and Venue TBC, Tullamore (December 3).
“The stage-fright I experience is the nearest thing I get to crossing a border with half a tonne of cannabis,” the Welshman reflects. “I must be still addicted to that adrenaline rush it gives you.”
