Hot for 2019 Irish Acts: ROE
Hailing from the ever fertile hotbed of creativity that is Derry, self-proclaimed “grumpy multi-instrumentalist” Roisin Donald has been doing much of her wooing on the other side of the Irish Sea. Her list of achievements would make any act thrice her years envious: she’s played Glastonbury; supported Snow Patrol; and had her music featured on the likes of The Only Way Is Essex (which, I think you can all agree, is “well ream”). Her finest moment to date is single ‘Hey Thomas’, a stylish and empowering slice of cerebral pop that features bully-battling lyrics and chart-busting hooks.
HEAR: ‘Hey Thomas’.
SEE: Her supporting Snow Patrol at Bangor’s Ward Park on May 25.
