The Los Angeles synth-popper has a unique claim to celebrity having started her band on a dating site. “You can make a profile on Tinder and have it say whatever you want,” she told the BBC. “I realised that most people in LA were on Tinder and, of those people, many were probably musicians - so I just made a profile that said ‘looking for a band’ and put my Instagram handle on it.” She hasn’t looked back and her debut album Premonitions showcases her virtuosity, blending electronic, folk and guitar driven angst.
