The legendary Celtic rock band will play in August.
Horslips have been announced for The Séamus Ennis Arts Centre in Naul as part of the Garden Party 2019.
Their only confirmed Dublin gig so far, Horslips will perform as the closing act of the festival on August 24. With the band reuniting to reprise their classic hits, it's sure to be a magical night of nostalgia.
The Celtic rockers emerged in the 1970s with hits such as 'Dearg Doom' and 'Trouble with a Capital T'. Their repertoire features songs from new and old albums respectively, pleasing all audiences.
The Seamus Ennis Arts Centre is to host a number of events parcelled in the Garden Party 2019, spanning throughout the summer months. Director of the Centre, Deidre Roche believes that the "warm and welcoming atmosphere" of the party "has become legendary amongst both artists and audiences alike."
"We are delighted to attract such high-profile bands to perform at Garden Party 2019, here at the Séamus Ennis Arts Centre, and to offer our audiences the opportunity to see world class musicians in an intimate and truly unique setting.” she says.
The Garden Party kicks off on Friday June 21 with traditional music big-shots Moving Hearts and a slew of special guests in tow. Door opens at 7.30pm and ticket prices start at €34.50.
Dublin rockers The Riptide Movement will perform Friday, July 26 with tickets selling for €25 and doors opening at 7:30pm. They are renowned for their exhilarating live shows and have been likened to bands such as U2 and Kings of Leon.
On August 11, get hyped for Rock 'n' Roll Sunday with Riley and The Moonrockers, a band from way back in the 1990s, their igniting performances are sure to wow audiences. Ticket prices are €5 and €10 with doors opening at 4:30pm.
There is also an outdoor cinema attraction alongside the impressive number of live gigs. On July 13, there will be a screening of the revered animated comedy Shrek (at 2:00pm for €4) followed by cult-classic Road House (7:30pm). Blues rockers The Donal Kirk Band are also to play after the screenings have finished. Tickets for the double bill of Road House and The Donal Kirk Band price at €16.
