In a cryptic Instagram post early this morning, Grimes teased at a new single scheduled for release this Thursday. The post features an unsettling image of a skull-like blade impaling the Earth with the caption, ‘A new way to die! 2 days.’ She got her point across just fine as legions of fans took to social media to comment their excitement on the news.

Her upcoming album will be titled MISS ANTHROPOCENE and is, “about how great climate change is." We’ll have to wait and see how that plays out in full, but this Thursday we should get a taste of what’s to come. It’s been 4 years since Grimes released Art Angels, the record that earned her both widespread critical acclaim and mainstream recognition, so the stakes are certainly high.
