God's Away On Business (Cookie Monster mash-up)

It took us nearly four decades to realise that growlin’ Tom Waits and Sesame Street glutton Cookie Monster have identical voices, but now we’ve finally come to our senses thanks to a delightful YouTube mash-up. This clip combines the former’s gravelly rendition of ‘God’s Away On Business’ with clips of the world-famous muppet’s many misadventures, making it Cookie Monster’s first ever music video (even though he’s been in show business longer than Mr. Waits)! At the time of writing, the top comment on this page reads, “Have you ever seen Cookie Monster and Tom Waits in the same room at the same time?” Dude’s got a point.
