GLOBAL DRUG SURVEY: The number of Irish people taking cognitive enhancers has surged
'Smart drugs' are being used to deal with work & study pressures
As students all over the country continue to sit their exams, it’s been revealed as part of the findings of the Global Drug Survey 2015 that 12% of Irish people have taken cognitive enhancers or so-called ‘smart drugs’.
“They’re not using coke and speed to get high,” notes the GDS number-cruncher Dr. Adam Winstock. “They’re doing it to deal with work and other performance anxiety pressures. It’s a massive story.”
