So hot a property is Kanye West these days that we’re now being encouraged to buy albums from his piano player. That’s not as absurd a notion as it might sound, however, for Get Lifted proves that something of his boss’ muse has rubbed off on the splendidly named John Legend. The idea of mixing soul and hip-hop isn’t excactly new but this is still a classy exercise and marks him out as more than just a male Alicia Keys.
