George Harrison's son, Dhani Harrison, to release debut solo LP
The full album, In///Parallel will be available October 6, but you can listen to a track here.
Dhani Harrison, the son of Beatle George Harrison, has been making music for most of his life, even if this is his debut album. With everything from festival appearances in the 2000s with his band thenewno2 and film and television soundtracks you've heard on films like the fantasy-romance Beautiful Creatures, and production credits on his father's album Brainwashed, it's a surprise that it's taken him this long to release his own album at the age of 39. However, Dhani promises that the album will draw upon his years of experience, saying the new work is "echoing his influences over the past few years as a composer."
Though there are echoes of his father's influence in his life and music, as Dhani has sported his father's classic long hair throughout much of his career, he expands upon that influence while showcasing his own abilities to create layered vocal harmonies and sharp guitar solos.
Listen to the "All About Waiting," from the new album below. In///Parallel is set for release on October 6.
