Fabric 05
The music's unifying factor is an ability to throw unexpected shapes while retaining a groove throughout
While the first four instalments of the Fabric mix series highlighted the undisputed DJing talents of the London club’s residents, this fifth release showcases the energy of producer Pure Science’s live performance.
Using material composed especially for this release, the one-man act proves why the tech-house title is such a broad term. Taking in truly diverse influences - ‘Time 2 Bump’ looks to jacking Chicago rhythms whereas the metallic sheen of ‘La Magica Del Sol’ has more in common with the Euro click techno sound, the music’s unifying factor is an ability to throw unexpected shapes while retaining a groove throughout.
