Electric Picnic Live Review - Girl Band
A stunning set from the Dublin four-piece on the Body & Soul Main Stage.
Body & Soul reached another level when Dublin-based noise merchants Girl Band kicked off last night.
Opening with their powerhouse single 'Lawman,' the set showcased the band's hysteria-inducing brand of noise-punk, orchestrated by Dara Kiely's throat-wrenching vocal, the chunkiest drum and bass section in Stradbally and guitarist Al Duggan's masterful work on a wondrous pedal arrangement.
Paired with a strobe-filled light show, it was genuinely dizzying at times.

Other top picks included the 25 second single 'The Cha Cha Cha' (which took as long to announce as it did to play) and their cover of Blawan's 'Why They Hide Their Bodies Under My Garage.'
