Dublin duo Skanger release 'Condolences' music video
The dream-pop duo released their debut single, an ode to parting with adolescence.
Skanger, Mark Healy and Colin Morris, are a dream-pop duo coming up in the Dublin music scene. Their debut release 'Condolences' explores the journey of childhood into adulthood and believing that the best days of life may be yet to come.
The 'Condolences' music video was released in June. Encompassing slow guitar rifts and a tone that allows the listener to fall into a state of nostalgia, the single is about a universally relatable experience. Skanger expresses that letting go and moving on from the joys of adolescence can be a painful but necessary path to encountering greater things. It is a song to take in on a quiet evening.
The band's musical influences are the Cocteau Twins, Joy Division, The Smiths, Beach House, The Blue Nile and My Bloody Valentine.
Skanger are currently working on their debut album and plan to release it next year.
