Dua Lipa releases single 'Illusion' from upcoming album Radical Optimism
Dua Lipa has released 'Illusion,' the third single from her upcoming album Radical Optimism
Today, pop artist Dua Lipa released 'Illusion,' the latest single from her highly-anticipated album Radical Optimism, out May 3. The track, which is accompanied by a music video directed by Tanu Muino, has Lipa's signature dance-pop style and features a four-on-the-floor beat, pianos, and synths.
"'Illusion' was the first song Caroline [Ailin], Danny [L. Harle], Tobias [Jesso Jr.], Kevin [Parker] and I worked on together, and it really broke the ice for the record," Dua Lipa shares. "It's about knowing what you're getting yourself into, but staying for the hell of it. The joke's on them, it's the fun of playing someone at their own game because ultimately you won't fall for an illusion."
The music video for 'Illusion' was shot at the Piscina Municipal de Montjuïc in Barcelona, Spain, featuring Lipa alongside dancers, high divers, and synchronized swimmers.
In addition to the album release, Dua Lipa recently announced tour dates in support of Radical Optimism. She will perform at London's Royal Albert Hall on October 17, with tickets going on sale to the public on Friday, April 12 at 10 am local time. Before that, this summer Lipa has festival and show appearances lined up across Europe, as well as a headline set at Glastonbury Festival.
