Dua Lipa is the most streamed female in the world
She was named 2017's most streamed female artist but now she holds the even more impressive crown of the most streamed artist IN THE WORLD
We were warned that 2018 was to be the year of Dua and it couldn't be more true. She is wrapping up her UK and Ireland tour this week (which had massive success) and now she has just got news from Spotify that she is the single most streamed female artist in the world.
There are a million reason to love Dua Lipa but it was her unconventional brass and fierce un-sunny pop anthem 'New Rules' which put her on the map, having over 1 billion streams online to date. It was this song that solidified the foundation of her now hard core following, blazing onto the scene as this tough chick that takes no bullshit.
Her own reactions to the quick coming success of her career has been very public and she has always remained humble, bringing her two younger siblings along for the ride. We love her because she makes us all feel like she's you're neighbour or that girl you went to school with, the ultimate girl next door, spending most of her days off hanging with her family in her childhood home outside London. So it's no surprise this news today has blown her mind, yet again with her instagram story showing the svelte singer with tears in her eyes. Congratulations Dua, continue to take over the world!
