Decks, Effects And A Whole Lotta Love
Consisting of 18 tracks, the focus here is on party techno
Ireland has so many talented DJs, so how come so few commit their club work to a mix CD?
Happily, original Dublin DJ Johnny Moy and new breed duo Redsettaz have got the finger out to deliver this smart Led Zeppelin-referencing mix. Consisting of 18 tracks, the focus here is on party techno – Umek, Phil Kieran, Dave Clarke and Bryan Zentz, funky tribal house and tech-house – Freelance Science, Jamie Anderson and even the odd future classic, Porn HQ’s infectious ‘La Liwa’.
What sets this apart from an average mix though is the imaginative use of acapellas from Harry Romero and Doug Lazy as well as the cheeky disregard for purism.

Let’s hope it’s the first of many.
