David Bowie's daughter Lexi Jones releases debut album Xandri
Listen to the new LP below.
Lexi Jones, the notoriously private daughter of David Bowie and supermodel Iman, has quietly released her debut album, Xandri.
Spanning 12 tracks and running 47 minutes, the record blends elements of pop, electronic, and indie rock, showcasing her distinct sound and artistic voice.
The 24-year-old artist wrote and produced all the songs herself. Throughout the whole process, Jones kept promotion to a minimum. Over the past few weeks, she shared brief song snippets and nostalgic childhood clips via Instagram, but there was no formal announcement when the album dropped.
Xandri, which takes its name from the Greek word meaning “defender of mankind,” features tracks such as 'Through All the Time', 'Moving On', and 'Standing Alone'.
The album artwork depicts a surreal image of two faces attached to the same head, attempting to split away from one another.
David Bowie passed away in January 2016 following a battle with cancer. Lexi is his only child with Iman and the younger of his two children. His son, Duncan Zowie Jones, is Bowie's first-born with his first wife, Mary ‘Angie’ Angela Barnett.
