David Bowie Documentary Announced: His Final Years
BBC reveals final five years of David Bowie
BBC has announced a new David Bowie documentary that will be screened on the first anniversary of his death in January. The last five years of his life will be looked at, with a focus on his final two albums The Next Day and Blackstar. A look at the man's recently launched musical Lazarus will also feature in the documentary, alongside exclusive interviews, unseen footage, and the music of Ziggy Stardust.
The BBC documentary will be directed by Francis Whately - the man responsible for the 2013 film
Coinciding with the documentary, January will also see the second annual David Bowie Festival take place in Dublin from January 5 to 10. A line-up of musicians, a karaoke Bowie night, and more will
honour the man's life.
