Brando
Although slotting into the pop/rock category without too much of a fuss, the emphasis on melody, harmony and acoustic guitar makes sure that their sound is not overbearing
There’s something wonderfully enigmatic about Brando. For such a standard set up (guitars, bass, drums and vocals), their ability to transcend the boundaries of their formulaic line up and create a sound so utterly uplifting highlights the strength in simplicity – a strength often ignored by bands more desperate to create a cool keyboard sound than a well-crafted song.
With such valuable commodities at hand it’s no wonder Brando are going down such a storm tonight. Although slotting into the pop/rock category without too much of a fuss, the emphasis on melody, harmony and acoustic guitar makes sure that their sound is not overbearing. It’s more of a subtle pleasure, although a little diversity in the way of tempo would not go amiss.
