Bon Iver share new album i,i ahead of original release date
The surprise release comes after the album was played to fans at listening parties yesterday.
Justin Vernon is an unpredictable person - not just in his music. Bon Iver are sharing their new album i,i today, although it was set to come out as soon as August 30. Every hour, a new song is uploaded. Only two tracks, 'Yi' and 'RABi', have yet to be released.
Every song comes with an official lyric video. See a few of them below:
Yesterday, the album was already played at 63 listening parties all over the world. Check out our first impression of Bon Iver's new record i,i here.
I,i serves as the fourth and last part of Bon Iver's cycle of seasons: For Emma, Forever Ago represents winter, Bon Iver spring, 22, A Million summer and i,i autumn.
Vernon previously said about the new album: "It feels very much like the most adult record, the most complete. It feels like when you get through all this life, when the sun starts to set, and what happens is you start gaining perspective. And then you can put that perspective into more honest, generous work."
