billy woods announces headline show at Opium and unveils new album
He has also released the albums first single 'Misery', featuring Kenny Segal.
U.S rapper billy woods has announced a headline show at Opium, Dublin on October 3, 2025. He has also revealed his thirteenth studio album, GOLLIWOG, set for release on May 9, and shared his new single 'Misery (feat. Kenny Segal)'.
A key figure in underground hip-hop for over two decades, woods is known for his unconventional style and sharp social commentary.
He first gained recognition with Camouflage (a collaboration with Vordul Mega) and his 2004 solo album The Chalice. After spending several years as part of Super Chron Flight Brothers, he returned to solo work with 2012’s History Will Absolve Me, his first solo release in nearly a decade after dedicating himself to group projects following The Chalice.
Since then, the Washington D.C.-born, New York-based artist has released numerous albums and has seen various collaborations. He teamed up with producer Blockhead (Ninja Tune, Def Jux) for 2013’s Dour Candy, formed Armand Hammer with NYC rapper Elucid, and released the critically acclaimed Race Music that same year.
His most recent album, 2023’s Maps, continues to showcase his dense lyricism and experimental production.
Tickets are priced at €22.00 plus booking fee and go on sale this Friday March 14 at 10 a.m.
