Barry McCormack Sings New Stories
Feel The Tilt of the Earth in Barry McCormack's latest project
Recorded over eighteen months in Shannon’s Experimental Audio studios in Dublin, The Tilt of the Earth is a major departure for McCormack whose songs have been described as being short films about his hometown. This record exhibits a more cinematic atmosphere in scale and feel.
The Tilt of the Earth combines folk storytelling, Art rock, and minimalism. Co-producer and collaborator Stephan Shannon helps create the musical textures, along with musicians John Hegarty (keyboards and guitar), Michael Murphy (bass), Gary Fitzpatrick (accordion, banjo and backing vox), Joss Moorkens (drums), Mary Barnecutt (cello) and Bill Blackmore (trumpet).
