Badly Drawn Boy hits Whelan's, Dublin in November
He's coming back after a successful stint here last year.
Badly Drawn Boy is returning to Ireland after headlining Bundoran's Sea Sessions and playing the Galway Arts Festival last year.
Known to his mother as Damon Gough, he plays Whelans, Dublin on October 18 for a gig packed with hits and more than a few surprises.
"I really love playing Ireland and I can’t wait to get back there. I get a lot of love from the Irish Audience and I always get looked after,” Gough says.
According to the press release, "Damon is having something of second coming and as he says himself he’s only half way through his career. He likes to think of the second half only starting now."
Badly Drawn Boy first came to prominence with the Mercury Prize winning The Hour Of The Bewlinderbeast in 2000.
His soundtrack to the 2002 Hugh Grant film About A Boy was critically acclaimed and featured two successful singles, ‘Silent Sigh’ and ‘Something To Talk About’.
