Attention, 80s music fans: this BBC docu-series is a must-watch
The series will air on BBC Four tomorrow night
BBC Four will be showing a documentary on 80s pop in Britain and Ireland.
Smashing Hits! The 80s Pop Map of Britain and Ireland will have three parts, the first of which is airing tomorrow night at 10pm on BBC Four.
Ultravox's Midge Ure and Kim Appleby (of sister act Mel and Kim) explore 80s music across the UK and Ireland to see how and why sounds differ from city to city.

The programme will feature interviews with figures instrumental in the British and Irish music scenes including Spandau Ballet's Gary Kemp, Martin Ware and Marco Pirroni from Adam and the Ants.
The first episode will focus on London's new romantic movement, the rise of ska in Coventry and electronic music pioneers of Sheffield.
