ALLied
ALLied is no normal, run of the mill dance compilation.
Listening to ALLied re-affirms my faith in the DIY ethic that dance music occasionally boasts. After all, ALLied is no normal, run of the mill dance compilation. Put together by Dublin DJ/producer John Braine, all the featured artists here are Irish and members of the often controversial Irish dance e-mail discussion group, IE-Dance. Put together on a shoestring, the other startling thing about ALLied is the high standards achieved by all its participants. Be it John’s own mellow electronics, DJ Gord’s to die for deep house, deep driving techno from Random Method, Sunil Sharpe, Manhattan Project and Mass Planck or Dave Reardon’s sun soaked ‘Eve’s Beach’. Every track here is as good as the most up to date, imported dance music. Welcome to the future.
