Alice Glass to reclaim number of old songs for upcoming tour
Formally the vocalist and writer for electronic dance group 'Crystal Castles', Glass will embark on a US / Canadian tour for April and May.
In October 2017, Alice Glass (real name, Margaret Osborn) released a statement revealing that her former bandmate Ethan Kahn had been sexually assaulting her over a number of years - dating back to when the duo first met in high school - and increasingly serious counts of physical assault along with mental assault. She had previously left Crystal Castles in 2014 to embark on her own solo career but reasons for this were unknown until she released her revealing statement last year.
Khan responded with a defamation lawsuit accusing her of lying about the past events, which was thrown out by the Los Angles court in February of this year.
Since then Glass announced her own tour - the 'Snowblood Tour' accompanied by Zola Jesus. She tweeted last night that she plans to reclaim some of her own songs for the event, as in the past her craftsmanship had been claimed as Khan's own.
There's no doubt that loyal fans of Glass will be ecstatic to hear of her latest decision.
I'm going to reclaim ownership of the some of the songs from my past that are most meaningful to me. which of my old songs should I take back and play on my upcoming tour?
