Paul Thomas Anderson to direct concert film Cameron Winter At Carnegie Hall

Cameron Winter At Carnegie Hall, a new concert film directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, has been announced, capturing the Geese frontman’s solo show in New York in December 2025.

The one-off, sold-out gig was captured on film on 35mm and 16mm by the Oscar-winning director, best known for Phantom Thread, One Battle After Another and more.

The film accompanies Winter’s recently announced live album Live at Carnegie Hall, set for release on October 9, which also captured his one stop on a US tour for Heavy Metal.

The performance made Winter one of the youngest solo musicians to headline in the hall's Stern Auditorium.

Anderson and Banny Safdie, who is a producer on the film, had been spotted filming the show on the night, although details of the accompanying footage from the show had not been revealed.

It marks a new music credit for Anderson, who has previously directed music videos for the likes of Radiohead, The Smile and Haim.

The film will be screened across the US in November, December and January, with a European release date yet to be announced.

Geese are currently on the road as part of an extensive 2026 concert series. The band will spend the remainder of August playing dates across Europe, including a headline performance at Electric Picnic this weekend.
