First look shared of Elle the Legally Blonde prequel series
The show lands on Prime Video on July 1 and has already been renewed for a second season
The teaser trailer for Elle a prequel series to the Legally Blonde franchise coming to Prime Video July 10 has just been released.
Rather than revisiting the "bubblegum" satire of Legally Blonde note for note, they've rewound the clock to 1995 following Elle Woods through high school long before Harvard Law and courtroom monologues.
The series trades lecture halls for teenage drama, with "tricky friendships, forbidden romance, and questionable fashion choices" shaping young Elle.

Lexi Minetree takes on the role of Elle made famous by Reese Witherspoon, who is returning as an executive producer. The supporting cast includes June Diane Raphael and Tom Everett Scott as Elle's parents, alongside a large ensemble of rising young actors and familiar TV faces, including James Van Der Beek best known for is role as Dawson Leery on late 1990s teen drama Dawson's Creek.
The series was created by Laura Kittrell, whose previous credits include Insecure and High School. Caroline Dries is co-running the project, while Jason Moore best known for his work in the Pitch Perfect franchise directs the opening episode.
