Write By the Sea announces 10th anniversary programme
Write By the Sea will feature author Claire Keegan for its 10th anniversary festival
Write By the Sea, a boutique literary festival in Kilmore Quay, Co. Wexford, has announced their 10th anniversary programme.
The festival takes place from September 26-28 and will feature writers, Claire Keegan, Colum McCann, Marian Keyes, John Banville, Joseph O’Connor, Eimear McBride, Kit de Waal, Wendy Erskine and Donal Ryan.
Across the weekend, the programme features intimate readings, panels, workshops and interviews. This includes Belfast author Garrett Carr discussing his debut novel with Jan Carson.
Elsewhere, Dermot Bolger reflects on his extensive body of work. It will also feature Irish Times columnist Sarah Moss joining broadcaster Evelyn O’Rourke to explore themes of identity and migration, and much more.
Masterclasses with literary experts and artists will take place throughout. For the festival finale, there is a music and poetry evening with singer/songwriter Declan O'Rourke and poet Paula Meehan.
Write By the Sea will open with an award ceremony for its annual writing competition, alongside a conversation with Small Things Like These author Claire Keegan and poet Enda Wyley.
