WATCH: Trailer for New Series of Family Guy
The trailer for the 17th series of Family Guy is here, showing nearly five minutes of sketches from the upcoming series.
Topical references include Stranger Things, Kanye West, Vape pens and how every comedian has a Netflix stand-up special.
Also, noteworthy is a recurring spoof of Basic Instinct in which Peter Griffin (voiced by Seth MacFarlane) recreates Sharon Stone's iconic leg cross.
The trailer also jokes about MacFarlane's other Fox series, Star Trek parody The Orville.

Meanwhile, according to Indiewire, Family Guy executive producer Steve Callaghan said at this year's San Diego Comic-Con that the sitcom's school 'James Woods Regional High School' is being renamed the "Adam West Regional High School.”
The move is to both honour the Family Guy cast member and former Batman, Adam West, who died last year, as well as a way of cutting ties with the show's recurring voice actor James Woods after a string of controversial Tweets from the actor.
The new series will premiere September 30, 2018 in the US.
