Varadkar and Martin will participate in live election debate
The debate between Varadkar and Martin will be followed by a multi-party leaders debate, where all seven major political parties will participate.
Virgin Media Television has confirmed that Pat Kenny will host the first head-to-head debate between Taoiseach and Fine Gael leader Leo Varadkar and Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin. The debate will take place this Wednesday, January 22nd.
The multi-party Leaders debate will take place on Thursday, January 30th, and will be moderated by Matt Cooper and Ivan Yates. The leaders of the seven main political parties have been invited to Virgin Media Television to take part in a wide-ranging debate.
At 9pm on Wednesday, there will be a build-up with a Tonight Show Debate Special. Following the head-to-head debate, The Tonight Show will have a reaction and analysis, along with a panel of political experts.
