The Libertines' Pete Doherty welcome new baby girl with wife Katia de Vides

The Libertines singer Pete Doherty has welcomed a baby girl with his wife and bandmate Katia de Vidas.

The musician, 44, announced the news on Instagram, sharing an adorable first picture of their little girl along with her hospital tag, as well as a picture of the baby curled up.

Friends and fans of the singer flooded the comments with congratulations for Pete and Katia's first child together, Billie-May Doherty.

The newborn is Libertines icon Pete's third child. He has a 19-year-old son called Astile with singer Lisa Moorish and a daughter called Aisling, 11, from his relationship with South African model Lindi Hingston.

Pete and Katia, bandmates in the Puta Madres, tied the knot in October 2021 in France. Pete announced his wife's pregnancy while performing on stage in Strasbourg last year.

The musician was also previously in a high-profile relationship with supermodel Kate Moss, and dominated entertainment news with controversial headlines.

Alongside his successful career as co-frontman of rock band The Libertines, Doherty’s other musical projects include indie group Babyshambles and his current band the Puta Madres, with Pete as frontman and his wife Katia as keyboardist.
