Harpur’s book, The Hidden World Of A Foster Girl, was described by Hot Press as a “a gut-wrenching read, pulling at every heart string. Hugely powerful, it’s a memoir about the anxieties of growing up in foster care in Ireland.”
After the launch of her novel, Harpur was invited by the Lord Mayor of Dublin to address an audience of care workers in the Mansion House. She has also had her poems published in two anthologies of Wexford Women Writing Undercover.
Tickets for the World of Fostering event are now on sale here for €10, with Day Passes available for the full day’s events costing €75.
