Ruby Sessions to donate profits to Cobargo Community Bushfire Recovery Fund

In a statement released via Facebook on Tuesday, Dublin's Ruby Sessions announced that proceeds from each session "over the next while" would be donated to the Cobargo Community Bushfire Recovery Fund.

The statement went on to say their sound engineer Marc "joined Ruby regulars The Young Folk for their Australian tour and at the beginning of January 2017 they played the Cobargo Folk Festival in New South Wales."

The band was stationed at Cobargo Farm and spent five days wandering between the farm and the festival. "When Cobargo appeared on the news channels in the coverage of the bush fires as one of the worst hit towns we knew we wanted to reach out and help these people in any way we could," the statement reads, adding, "it’s only a small gesture for us to donate the profits of The Ruby Sessions to them but an important one as we stand in solidarity with the people of Cobargo and NSW."
