PREMIERE: Irish-American artist ColourMeGreene celebrates nightlife on 'Pothole'
ColourMeGreene is the latest artist to launch under the Exhale label, alongside Uppbeat, Kid Travis, Crim and Elle Lexxa.
Alternative hip-hop newcomer ColourMeGreene has finally unveiled his debut single in the form of new nightlife anthem 'Pothole'.
Influenced by the styles of Childish Gambino and Mac Miller to name a few, Dylan Greene (aka ColourMeGreene) blends an ambient flair of hip-hop with trap, pop and R&B elements across his music.
You may remember the Crumlin native's first EP outing RAW from 2019, before he started a career under his new moniker and label.
'Pothole' is a love letter to Dublin nightlife but also speaks to the confidence he had to muster up in coming out. A song that highlights the joy of being yourself, the first release paves the way for ColourMeGreene's unique take on the music scene.
The Irish-American artist brings a fresh approach to genre blending, embodying feelings of spontaneity and excitement fused with darker tones in his lyrics that capture inner turmoil.
Produced by the incredibly talented Fionn O’Brien - best known for his work with Matthew Nolan - Greene has been developing a unique sound for the past six months. Himself and Nolan are sitting on an arsenal of releases.
The video sees differing scenes in clubs and parties spliced between ColourMeGreene performing into a handheld microphone. The visuals perfectly match the vibe of the pop-tinged track, a catchy banger that merges hip-hop with alternative soundscapes.
ColourMeGreene is also the latest artist to launch under Exhale and will undoubtedly be as fascinating as the rest of the roster (Kid Travis, Crim, Uppbeat, Elle Lexxa.)
