New Game of Thrones Teaser Reveals Premiere Date
Games of Thrones eighth and final season set to premiere on April 15, 2019.
A new teaser trailer for HBO’s Game of Thrones has confirmed that April 2019 will mark the beginning of the end for the beloved fantasy series.
The teaser gives fans a taste of what is to come in the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones, before revealing it will premiere on April 15, 2019. The trailer follows Jon Snow, Arya Stark and Sansa Stark through the crypts of Winterfell, where they are confronted by their own graves before sensing a looming threat.
The final season will be comprised of six episodes, and despite HBO executive Casey Bloys previously entertaining the possibility of two-hour episodes, individual episodes will only run for 90 minutes at most. Veteran series’ directors David Nutter and Miguel Sapochnik will return to direct episodes. Game of Thrones’ creators David Benioff and Dan Weiss will be directing the series’ finale.
Viewers will have to wait a few months to find out whether their theories hold up and expectations are met, but for now check out the tense new trailer below:
