Dublin's Liberty Hall Will Host Special Evening With The Staircase's David Rudolf
Lawyer David Rudolf of The Staircase fame, will discuss his work at an intimate special event in Dublin's Liberty Hall, October 14, 2018.
The tenacious defence attorney was seen defending murder suspect Michael Peterson on the Netflix docudrama. He will use his evening in Ireland's capital to discuss the conflicts he wrestled with regarding the case, including determining whether to let the filmmakers follow him.
Rudolf will also share his insights into the most curious and contentious issues of the trial, including the blood spatter, bisexuality and Germany evidence, the discovery of the blow poke, and the genesis of the Owl Theory (see below).
The Staircase details how in 2001, author Michael Peterson was arraigned for the murder of his wife Kathleen, whose body was discovered lying in a pool of blood on the stairway of their home. The series captures on camera the defense team as it considers its strategic options.
The show - currently streaming on Irish Netflix - received rave reviews for it's many twists, as well as its authentic depiction of a murder investigation. However, it did receive a backlash in some quarters for its lack of objectivity.
Tickets for Inside The Staircase With David Rudolf go on sale this Friday, August 10 at 9am.
