Joshua Burnside shares demo of 'Driving Alone In The City At Night'
Burnside has also announced a new album, 'Higher Places'.
Northern Ireland's world-weary, enigmatic troubadour Joshua Burnside has returned, with a brand new version of 'Driving Alone In The City At Night' and news of a new album.
Higher Places, the sister to 2020's Into The Depths of Hell, is due for release on May 4, 2021, and features never-before-heard songs alongside acoustic demos of fan-favourites from Into The Depths of Hell, including 'Driving Alone In The City At Night'.
On this stripped-back version, Burnside sheds the track's electronic elements, giving it a raw, delicate feeling. Powered now by earthly elements, Burnside's new take on the previously released track allows listeners to focus on the compelling lyrical content, and experience a fresh wave of intent from Burnside's songwriting.
Higher Places will be released alongside a white vinyl edition of Into The Depths Of Hell, and will be available for download and purchase.
