Grand Social hosting live music fundraiser for St. Luke's Hospital next week
The event will feature live music, an auction and a raffle all in aid of a worthy cause
Dublin's Grand Social are hosting a live music event this coming Wednesday, 15 August, to raise funds for The Friend’s of St. Luke’s Hospital.
The night will feature performances from bands LA Gear and the Brother's Orr.
LA Gear are a rock band who'll be playing a mix of 80’s rock classics and their own original music. The Brothers Orr are musically gifted young lads renowned for Thin Lizzy covers but are also strong players of blues and modern rock classics - which you can hear on the night. Neither band is to be missed.
The night will also host an auction where entrants can bid on original artworks. If that's not enough to float your boat, you can enter the event's raffle and try your hand at winning some great prizes.
The event hopes to raise funds for this worthy cause. Its organiser, Orla Murphy, received "exceptional" care from The Friend’s of St. Luke’s Hospital during her recent breast cancer treatment.
"The staff there really do make a difference when you are fighting this disease," she said.
Admission at the door for the cheaply cheerful price of €5.
