Gayle and Starcrawler to support My Chemical Romance in Ireland
American rockers My Chemical Romance will play Dublin's Royal Hospital Kilmainham on May 24th and 25th this year.
My Chemical Romance have announced that American pop singer GAYLE and rock band Starcrawler will act as special guests for their Irish shows at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham later this month.
Chart-topping pop singer-songwriter GAYLE will share the stage with My Chemical Romance after celebrating her latest EP release, a study of the human experience volume. The project features the global No.1 smash hit 'abcdefu', which gained over 6.5m Irish streams and over a billion worldwide streams.
Infused with pop-punk, garage, and rock and roll, LA quartet Starcrawler will also perform in Dublin on 24th and 25th May. The band will perform tracks from their previous two studio albums (2019's Devour You and 2018's Starcrawler), released on Rough Trade.
My Chemical Romance made their debut in 2022 with the independently released album I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love, which turns 20 this year. The band's current lineup consists of lead vocalist Gerard Way, lead guitarist Ray Toro, rhythm guitarist Frank Iero, and bassist Mikey Way.
Founded by Gerard, Mikey, Toro, and Matt Pelissier (and later joined by Iero), the band signed with Eyeball Records. Since then, the band has had an incredible career with multiple Platinum records and topped Billboard’s Alternative Albums and Top Rock Albums charts.
My Chemical Romance disbanded in 2013 after 12 years together before reforming back in 2019. The New Jersey band’s last album Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys arrived in 2010.
The group were scheduled to return to Dublin in 2020 but it was postponed due to the pandemic. Tickets bought for the original date remain valid.
