External Sounds announce two events in Drogheda with Irvine Welsh
Tickets go on sale Friday, March 27, on Droichead.com.
Drogheda collective External Sounds, in partnership with Sound Town, have announced two events in County Louth with Irvine Welsh.
The events are set to take place on Bank Holiday Sunday, May 3, in Drogheda's Droichead Arts Centre, and in The Living Room at Sarsfields Bar.
The Scottish novelist, playwright, and short story writer Irvine Welsh will be performing a DJ set at The Living Room. Supporting him will be Drogheda native DJ Dom Wilton.
However, before his DJ set, the author, at the Droichead Arts Centre, joined by Irish Times journalist Tony Clayton-Lea, will discuss his novel Trainspotting, his literary career, and more.
Last month, Welsh celebrated the 30th anniversary of the film adaptation of his novel Trainspotting, first published in 1993.
Tickets, which give access to both events, will be available here on Friday, March 27. A limited number of DJ set-only tickets are also available on the same website.
