COVID-19: Twitter reacts as further lockdown restrictions ease
As of today (June 29), hairdressers, certain childcare facilities, and retail facilities have been reopened.
As of today, Ireland has entered the third phase of easing its lockdown restrictions. According to the government website, all retailers and businesses such as acupuncturists and chiropractors β as well as hairdressers β are scheduled to reopen across the country. Pubs will be open with strict social distancing guidelines, and travel restrictions have been eased, allowing travel anywhere within Ireland.
As one can imagine, the Twitterverse has expressed their delight at the reopening of various industries. You can take a look at some of the funnier ones below.
It will be incredibly exciting β for those of us who are safely able β to be booking appointments, going shopping and eating in restaurants once again, but the government urges everyone to adhere to social distancing and safety precautions during this time. This includes wearing face coverings where you can, only travelling if necessary, and frequently washing and sanitising your hands.
