As he says himself, Noel Gallagher has been on "one tour or another" during the past quarter of a century... but, for him, the current U2 Joshua Tree Tour is the best he's ever been on.
The ex-Oasis star also says that U2 are one of his "favourite bands ever". In a new interview published on FC Barcelona website, Noel Gallagher says: "I’ve been touring in one form or another for over 25 years and this is the most fun I’ve ever had.
“I’m only on stage for an hour. I’m off stage by eight o’clock, half eight. Have summat to eat, something to drink, watch U2, have two days off.
"We’re playing in all the great cities in Europe. My family are on the road with me [and] my friends. It’s been amazing.
"They’re been absolutely brilliant every night. They’re one of my favourite ever bands, ever.”
While chatting to the Spanish football website, Noel Gallagher also talked about his other passion... football. When asked which Barcelona players he’d loved to see in his own team’s squad back in the UK, the British-Irish musician replied: “Pretty much all of them. I think we’d take all of them. My two lads adore Neymar. Messi, clearly. Suarez. The keeper’s pretty good. The main one is Messi. He’s a legend.”
He added that he hopes Pep Guardiola “stays forever” at Manchester City.
