Grohl releases Sound City official teaser...
You can now watch the trailer for Dave Grohl's directorial debut Sound City. The feature film is about the famous recording studio in California where Grohl first played with Nirvana in 1991 for the recording of Nevermind.
The idea for the film came about after Grohl purchased the Neve 8082 recording console from the studio last year. Built in 1972 the console is a legendary piece of analog equipment. Tom Petty, Neil Young, NIN, Metalica, Guns N' Roses and Nirvana, to name a few, have all recorded on the Neve 8082 in the California studio.
The film features interviews with artists and producers who passed through the doors over the years, and documents the history of the studio and all the great albums recorded there.
