U2 up for 4 MTV awards

U2 are up for four gongs in the MTV Europe Music Awards 2002, which take place in Barcelona on November 14.
Bono & the lads have been shortlisted for 'Best Rock Act', 'Best Live Act', 'Best Web Site' and – the biggie – 'Best Group' alongside Coldplay, Linkin Park, No Doubt and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Also receiving four nominations apiece are Kylie, Eminem, Coldplay, Shakira, Enrique and Pink who limbers up for the Awards with a November 6 visit to The Point.
