Fourth full-length straight in at number one...
Another week, another mammoth new release and another brand new #1. Standing tall this week are Nevada kings The Killers, whose Battle Born album knocks The Script off their perch at the first time of asking.
The Killers' fourth record goes under the microscope in the brand new issue of Hot Press (Mumford & Sons cover) with Ed Power noting that Battle Born "works hard at recapturing their early swagger". With Danny and the boys firmly ensconced in second place, the week's second highest new entry comes for pop/rock diva P!nk, whose sixth studio album, The Truth About Love, places at #3.
All that moving and shaking means Bob Dylan and The xx both fall down a bit, with Tempest and Coexist taking spots #4 and #5 respectively. The top ten is rounded out by David Guetta, Ed Sheeran, Of Monsters And Men, Emeli Sandé and Leonard Cohen, whose Old Ideas climbs up following his stunning Kilmainham visits.
