A pair of gigs and a theatrical art class are coming to the Galway venue
Monroe's is looking to have quite a busy April!
First on the schedule is Kicking Bird, a Dublin-based four piece that will be playing on April 9. The alternative folkies, who first got together in 2012, are following up on the release of their debut EP, featuring a sound that mixes the likes of Joni Mitchell and Laura Marling. Sign us up!
The next item on the menu is a special treat: Dr. Sketchy's, a drawing class with a twist. Founded in Brooklyn, the class/show has garnered international attention for their wild cabaret art programs featuring contests, prizes, and booze. What more could you ask for? The 'Gotham Villains' themed event lands on April 11.

Finally, another act originated in Brooklyn, Frogbelly and Symphony arrive at Monroe's doors on April 16. Another alt-folk act with psychedelic influences, this progressive, experimental four piece is touring behind their new album Blue Bright Ow Sleep.
Seems like we'll be spending some quality at Monroe's next month! We'll see you there ...
